Outdoor Yoga prepares us for Beach Yoga

Outdoor session was wonderful today in the balmy Autumn weather. We walked a little further than the previous 2 Tuesdays, then packed in some really good yoga in the park. Two points of focus today were self-calming when the mind started to rush or stress, and taking in the sensory environment rather than focussing on the mat/ ground.

Focus’s birthday today – so she will get to choose her favourite yoga posture tomorrow – or tell Sgt the one to avoid! We sang Happy Birthday to Focus at the top of the stairs to the park, and had an extra 5 minutes session. Sergeant Bootcamp apologises for those of you who ran late this morning – but what a great opportunity to practice your stress management as you rushed!

Some of us are heading off on the Yoga Beach Retreat starting Friday, and we were already ‘there’ mentally, as we felt the soft breeze, and the bright sunshine on our skins.  Yum, Yum!
